1. Steel Pickling Line & Acid Bath Containment Physics
In hot-rolled steel coil manufacturing and continuous wire pickling lines (such as at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and Autonagar steel mills), metal coils pass through 15–20% Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) or Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4) heated up to 85°C. Conventional rubber-lined carbon steel tanks suffer from rubber debonding, acid seepage through pinholes, and catastrophic shell corrosion.
We engineer monolithic Bisphenol-A and Novolac Vinyl Ester pickling tanks with multi-layer C-glass chemical barriers, reinforced with external pultruded structural steel I-beam stiffeners encased in seamless composite laminates. This delivers zero-leakage acid containment with an expected service life exceeding 25 years.
2. Chlor-Alkali & Electro-Chlorination Cell Covers
Chlorine generation cells produce saturated wet chlorine gas (Cl2), sodium hypochlorite, and caustic soda at 85°C. Metals quickly succumb to severe pitting corrosion, while non-stabilized plastics crack. Our cell covers and headers are fabricated using brominated vinyl ester resins with antimony trioxide synergists, providing high fire safety, zero electrical conductivity, and complete resistance to wet halogen oxidizers.
3. Wet Gas Scrubber Columns & Demister Packed Towers
Industrial acid gas scrubbers in pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing neutralize acidic fumes (HCl, SO2, NOx, Cl2) using circulating caustic wash. We design and fabricate vertical packed bed scrubber towers (diameters from 600mm to 3500mm), spray header manifolds, and chevron demister blade packs engineered in compliance with BS 4994 / ASME RTP-1.
4. Power Plant Cooling Water Distribution Headers
In thermal and nuclear power station cooling towers (e.g. NTPC Simhadri, Dr. NTTPS Vijayawada, Krishnapatnam), high-volume water distribution headers operate continuously under biological growth, chlorine dosing, and high dissolved solids. Filament-wound FRP piping headers with integrated spray branch pipes eliminate scaling, reduce pump friction losses by 20%, and never corrode.
